Our divan bases are designed to meet the needs of today's customer; with not only non-storage bases, but also drawer and slidestore options. Double base divans are made in two sections for ease of handling, that link together, and the oak finished drawers are fitted on easy glide metal runners.

About Mattison beds With a range designed exclusively for the hotel and contract market, Mattisons are one of the industry's leading manufacturers of contract beds with over 135 years of experience. We have an extensive portfolio of clients ranging from top hotel chains, universities, schools and cruise ships, through to local authorities. All our beds are produced using the very best in raw materials. Cover tickings have been carefully selected for each range to offer both durability and style. Everything is manufactured on site at our purpose built factory in the heart of Ipswich, Suffolk and delivered nationwide via our own transport fleet. We also export to various countries worldwide. Zipping and linking or velcro and linking is available on all models within our range. For ease of handling we firmly advise that all double, deep divan bases are manufactured in two halves. Service We are one of the few manufacturers who employ area representatives, who are at your service throughout the country. They can offer free advice, free bed surveys and will ensure your order is delivered when required and, should there be any problems, they will be dealt with promptly. Flame retardancy It is a legal requirement that hotel beds conform to appropriate standards of flame retardancy, as set out in British Standard BS7177 (1996). All beds in this catalogue comply with Ignition source 5 some offer even higher standards, unlike those sold for domestic use in normal retail shops which do not comply with these high standards. The beds - in the catalogue have been designed specifically for hotel and contract use. Careful research and years of experience have proved that hotel beds need to be different from those in a domestic environment. Our specifications are to a very high standard, from heavy sections of timber in the base to the reinforced handles on the mattress. Materials and construction comply with the latest British Standard or CEN standards where applicable.

Our beds incorporate a variety of springs, in conjunction with carefully chosen upholstery materials, to offer the best in terms of comfort and value for money.Open coil spring unit - Deep open coil spring unit, gives deeper springing for more comfort and longer spring life. Pocket sprung unit - Pocket sprung unit gives independent springing to support each part of the body correctly and prevent roll-together.
